Titan 1 Missile Silo - May 16-17, 2015
SOLD OUT!

A Unique Dive Site with a Unique PADI Distinctive Specialty Too  - SOLD OUT!

This unique dive experience - diving a Titan 1 Missile Silo - yes think Cold War 1960's - takes place May 16-17, 2015.

The Titan 1 Missile is located in Eastern Washington, beside the Columbia River, and camouflaged among abandoned and derelict farm equipment on desert terrain.  The access point to the Titan 1 complex is located at the bottom of a ravine - the result of a very ambitious farmer.

Gear set up takes place at the surface outside what appears to be a corrugated tube - this is the 'hole'.  We then lower our gear down to the 'ready room' where we will put it on and do our dive checks before entering the tunnels.

Due to the proximity to the Columbia River, ground water has filled the Silos and the tunnels.  Access to the silos is accomplished by wading through waist-deep water in the salvaged tunnel structures - fascinating in itself.  Our guide will then lead us to the launch tubes where we explore the remaining superstructures - a page out of history.

Our Dive Guide has been diving these silos for over 15 years and through his expertise has developed a PADI Distinctive Specialty - Missile Silo Diver.

Intrigued?  Don't miss out on this unique dive opportunity and unique dive certification.
